Become a part of our mission to protect wildlife and preserve Botswana’s natural beauty
Why Volunteer At Mokolodi
Whether you’re passionate about wildlife, conservation, or environmental education, this weekly programme offers you the chance to make a real difference. Set against the backdrop of Botswana’s wild beauty—just minutes from Gaborone—you’ll connect with meaningful work, dedicated conservationists, and unforgettable moments in nature. Come for one week or extend your stay to deepen your impact.

Immerse Yourself in Purposeful Learning
From guided game drives and expert talks with BirdLife Botswana and Cheetah Conservation Botswana to daily fieldwork, every activity is designed to deepen your understanding of wildlife management and environmental education in action.

Make a Real Impact on Conservation
Get hands-on with meaningful projects like rhino tracking, habitat restoration, and caring for animals in our sanctuary—including cheetahs and wild dogs. You won’t just observe conservation—you’ll live it, working alongside experts to protect some of Africa’s most vulnerable species.

Live the Wild, Stay Connected
Located just 10km from Botswana’s capital, Gaborone, Mokolodi offers the rare chance to be surrounded by nature without being far from the city. You’ll stay in our comfortable volunteer house on the reserve, forming close bonds with fellow volunteers while enjoying Wi-Fi access, home-cooked meals, and a true sense of community.
